Grandma Debbie's Famous Spaghetti Meat Sauce Mon, 09 February 2004 01:09
1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 large can tomato sauce
1 large can whole tomatoes
1 large can tomato paste
1 tomato paste can of water
1 tbsp beef bouillon
6-8 cloves of garlic
1 onion, halved
ketchup to taste
spaghetti noodles

In a large pot, combine tomato sauce, whole tomatoes and tomato paste. Add once can of water. Add both halves of the onion, 6-8 cloves of garlic and the 1 tbsp of bullion. Heat on medium, covered, until simmering.

Brown ground beef and drain fat. Add to sauce. Add Ketchup to taste. Simmer all day (for at least 5 hours) stirring every 20-30 minutes. Remove lid after the first 3 hours. Add water as needed when sauce thickens too much.

To Freeze: Fill ziploc baggies with the amt of sauce your family will use in one sitting. Freeze bags flat for easier storage. Use sauce for spaghetti or for any recipe that requires a marinara.

To Reheat: Defrost and reheat in covered pot, or reheat in covered pot from frozen, stirring often over medium heat so as not to burn it.
